Mark Goldberg recently shared a couple of pictures of his Patrol cargo door on the Patrol E-Group. The drawing for the cargo door option comes with the Patrol plans. I think the cargo door is a must for easy access to the baggage compartment. It does add a small amount of weight and complexity to the build but is well worth it in my opinion.
Mark says the door opening frame is made from aluminum (5052) and the door
frame is made from 1/2" square steel tube. Here are the
